My post-doctoral work began with as clinical program director at Condell Medical Hospital Psychiatric Unit while I was employed at Neuropsych Inc.. There I treated patients, provided supervision, trained psychology students in psychological testing, and managed clinical programing. While at Neuropsych Inc., I also developed an outpatient treatment program specifically for women’s needs: depression, divorce, parenting, postpartum depression and eating disorders. Many of these topics became specialized womens groups that provided support and didactic tools to address the topic. The pre-and-post data collected demonstrated the success of this type of treatment.
I have continued to treat patients on an out-patient basis throughout my career and have received extensive training in the treatment of depression, This prevalent, complex and devastating diagnosis is treatable. Psychotherapy is clinically effective and can provide relief.
I opened my private practice in 2002 in Winnetka, where I treat patients with cognitive behavioral treatment, solution-focused therapy and attachment-based therapy. I consider being a practicing psychologist as a great honor as I have found it can change peoples lives dramatically.
